On Tuesday 23rd May the children in Rowan class enjoyed a day out at Braunston Marina, many thanks to the Canal & River Trust who organised the event.
The children spent the day doing various activities led by the Canal & River Trust explorers including enjoying a canal boat trip, learning about the history of their local canal and the wildlife that lives there including a canal side walk, canal boat tour, water safety and 'build a canal' lessons.
The children saw different types of wildlife during the day including swans and their cygnets in the canal, one cygnet was riding on it's mother's back!
