Stratford Butterfly Farm

On Tuesday 13th June the Reception children in Chestnut class visited the Straford-on-Avon Butterfly Farm.

They had a really fun and interesting day out.  First of all they had a guided tour of the Butterfly Farm where they were introduced to many different types of butterfly, moth and insect.  They watched the butterflies feeding on fruit, walked through the tropical garden where the butterflies flew around as if in their natural habitat (sometimes landing on the children) and also had the opportunity to hold some creepy crawlies!

Afterwards the children ate their picnic lunch and enjoyed a break playing in the play park nearby.

Here are some of the photos, but as usual we will put together an album in our Photo Gallery on the website, so you will be able to see much more!
