This morning (Wednesday 20th September) all the children and staff of Kilsby School waited outside the school gates to greet Andy Martin & his son Liam (who just for today accompanied his dad for the stretch of walk from Rugby to Kilsby).
Since 1st September, Mr Martin has walked all the way from John O'Groats to Kilsby and then will continue all the way down to Lands End in aid of Parkinsons. The whole 900 mile route will take him most of the month of September. He took a detour this morning especially to walk to school with his son Liam.
When they both appeared round the corner, everyone shouted and cheered them on. Mr Martin stopped for a brief photo shoot then took a well earned coffee break at school and left to continue his travels, aiming for Harbury and finishing up at Ettington, Stratford by this evening.
