Harvest at St Faith's Church

Friday 5th October

This morning all the children and staff walked round to St Faith's Church, Kilsby for our Harvest service with Rev Nigel Fry.

Each class participated in the service.  The children in Maple class concentrated on 'Poverty in the UK', Rowan class spoke of 'Harvest all around the world', the children in Cherry class read a 'Harvest poem' and the Reception children in Chestnut class expressed their own 'Thank you's for our food'.  The House Captains also read some prayers during the service.

The Harvest gift boxes the children brought into school were beautifully decorated and we would like to thank all the parents for their generous gifts, which will be distributed as usual, to the elderly people in Kilsby village, who are always delighted to receive them!

After the service we held a MacMillan coffee morning back in the school hall with coffee and some delicious looking cakes!  This raised a grand total of £165.61 for the charity which is brilliant thank you very much!
