On Wednesday 30th April the children in Cherry class came to school as usual, but they did not have a normal school day! Mrs Sensecall and her staff were dressed as Victorians and the children were going to spend the whole day in school in a Victorian classroom!
The children were surprised to find that lessons in those days were very, very strict! The teachers even checked the children's hands and finger nails!
They wrote with chalk on black boards, experienced a Victorian drill lesson and did some needlework. The children learnt a lot about how it was for children in Victorian schools and they were glad when the day was over and they could get back to modern day life!
