Hampers for the Residents of Kilsby House

On Thursday 16th December the children from the Pre-School, Chestnut and Cherry classes walked with their teachers to Kilsby House (a care home for the elderly in the village).

Some of the elderly in the home have no family of their own to visit or receive a gift from, we wanted to give them something to help make their Christmas a bit more special this year.

The children made Christmas cards for them and also brought into school lots of nice things to make up several hampers including drinks, chocolates, mince pies, toiletries, biscuits, etc.

The staff and children could not enter the home due to COVID-19 so they stood outside in the car park and sang two Christmas songs for them and the residents waved at them through the window.

The people in the home were really happy with their gifts from the children and enjoyed their singing too 😊
