Reception this Week

This week the Reception children have been writing short sentences and practising ‘one more’ independently, in phonics they have been learning the sounds ur, ow, oi, ear and the tricky words my, by, all.  In Maths they have been looking at number bonds to 5 (numbers that add together to make 5).

In their English lessons the children have been finding out about the story ‘The Proudest Blue’ and then writing sentences, their topic for the next two weeks is all about India.

During their RE lesson they have looked at the word ‘belong’ and what groups we belong to (e.g. Kilsby, Chestnut class, our family, our friends, clubs, etc.)
