World Music Day

This week to celebrate World Music Day Kilsby Primary School have enjoyed three performances from local musicians.

Firstly on Wednesday morning we were joined by Dos Guitarras who are local to Kilsby. Myles, Korban and Nick joined us and took us on a tour of music through the years. The children loved listening to all the genres of music and their story, especially as Myles himself attended Kilsby Primary School.

Then on Wednesday afternoon we were joined by the Daventry Danetre Ukulele Orchestra who again put on a fantastic performace and the children enjoyed joining in with shakers and singing along to 'Sweet Caroline'

On Thursday we were joined by Macey a local artist from Daventry who performed a selection of songs on the piano. The children loved listening to the piano and were pleased when they guessed one of the songs was Firework by Katy Perry, the children enjoyed singing along to this performace.

All of these musicians were local to our school and put on incredible performances for us all to enjoy.

They really were a real inspiration to our budding musicians and a fantastic way to celebrate World Music Day!
