Last week in Chestnut Class

The Reception children last week worked really hard practising their letter formation and writing their names. In Phonics they have been learning the sounds ff, ll, ss, j and the tricky word 'as'. They also wrote a recount of what they did during the half-term holiday.

In RE they have been learning about Christianity and what the key features of the religion are including the importance of the Bible, the cross, church and Jesus.

The children have been jumping all over the place in PE, learning how to jump in different ways and in different directions.

Our topic this term is ‘Happy to be Me’ and the children have been learning all about their 5 senses.  Also, the children have been learning about feelings and how different pieces of music can affect our emotions.
