Yesterday a team of our Year 3 and Year 4 children took part in a District Tag Rugby event. This was the first event of it's kind for Yr 3/4 and was definitely a successful one for Kilsby.
The children lost against Badby but didn't let the loss dampen their spirits as they bounced back for a hard fought win against Woodford Halse. With 2 wins from 3 we finished 2nd overall in our pool which meant we headed into final positioning pool B taking on Braunston, Overstone and East Haddon.Kilsby's attacking line annihilated Braunstons defence with multiple tries from Jude E, Kyan H, Hugh B and Lola G, who was a flyer on the flank! George R helped lead the team from the front!
With 1 win from 1, the remainder of our games looked promising. We eventually drew with both Overstone and East Haddon leaving us with a point short of a top placed finish to give us an overall position of 5th out of 15 schools who competed.
The conditions proved extremely difficult but the children persevered despite a slippy ball and very wet pitch. The children wore the Kilsby badge with pride and we are very proud of them all.
