After school on Wednesday 16th October, some of the Yr 3 and Y4 children from Rowan class travelled to the Parker E-Act Academy in Daventry to take part in a Quicksticks Hockey session. This event took place on the astro turf pitches, and there were children of the same age there from other schools in the area.
Our children thoroughly enjoyed the training sessions which started off with the basics of how to hold a hockey stick, and went on to show them the different skills involved in playing the game of hockey. They learnt a lot about the game of hockey and had fun at the same time! A big thank you to all the parents who came along to support the children and help with transport.
