Diwali

Last week the children in Chestnut class were learning about Diwali. 

They learnt about how it is celebrated and listened to the story of Rama and Sita. Then they made some diyas, little lamps that were used to guide Rama and Sita home. After waiting a long time for the clay to dry, the children decorated them ready to be taken home, they were very pretty.
