Chestnut Class

Chestnut are finally reunited, it has been so lovely all being back together. The children have had a busy few days, mostly playing and catching up with their friends, reading books and trying out science experiments!

This week is 'Science Week' at school so every afternoon the children are going to have a go at some experiments.

One of the first experiments we all did was making snow globes, this helped them think about light, shadows and materials.

The children made their snow globes using water, sequins, glitter and food colouring, then they shook them and shined a torch through the bottle onto a white cloth to see if they could make snow globe shadows.

They talked about what shadows they could see on the cloth and why the shadows were made. It was great fun!
